Hollie Profit, aged 28, from Old Colwyn, was in “active addiction” for 10 years, having started taking ketamine at 18. “I just started taking it up at festivals and parties – my job is a DJ – so it kind of comes arm-in-arm with the job. “And for about the last six, after COVID, that's when it got really bad and I started using it daily. I thought that I could just stop taking drugs but all the addictive traits were still there. you're not happy, you're using because you're sad and you're hurting - come to the other side’.”
