The long-awaited €4.1 million resurfacing works of the main street through the Twin Towns is to begin tonight. The project is due to commence at Lidl, on the Donegal Road, at 7pm and continue until 7am. Donegal County Council has confirmed that the works will also include resurfacing from Admiran Park (Letterkenny Road) to McClay’s Corner on the N13, and along Main Street through Stranorlar and Ballybofey. “It will be a mix of day and night works and a mix of road closures and a stop and go (system),” she said. Cllr Patrick McGowan, Cathaoirleach of the Lifford-Stranorlar MD said the planned works are to be ‘very welcomed.’
