A 45-year-old woman was struck and killed on the night of August 2, after exiting a vehicle and running into the freeway. The Michigan State Police (MSP) reported that at 11 p.m. on Aug. 2, state troopers from the MSP Brighton Post responded to a traffic crash involving a pedestrian and a vehicle on westbound M-14 near Wagner Road. The MSP said the preliminary investigation indicates the pedestrian, a 45-year-old woman from Ann Arbor, had just left a restaurant with a friend. “She was a passenger in a Ford Explorer driven by her friend, a 32-year-old woman from Ann Arbor,” MSP said. “The pedestrian then ran into the westbound lanes of M-14, where she was struck by a westbound Jeep Compass driven by a 45-year-old Ann Arbor man.”
