Studying abroad and being away from home reshaped my identity and self-image for the better on many levels. Being abroad, away from home, has taught me lots about holding onto my identity and culture more than ever before. As for the advantages of studying abroad, it teaches others how to be responsible, how to manage finances and time, and to deal with different personalities on a daily basis. Another advantage of studying abroad is that it has taught me about other cultures and dialects within the Arabian Gulf and even outside of it. All in all, studying abroad is such an eye-opening experience that makes people connect more with their roots and deal with cultural differences and barriers.
