Hyderabad roads waterlogged after heavy afternoon downpourHeavy rain lashed several parts of Hyderabad on Monday, causing severe waterlogging and traffic congestion. Rainfall data from TSDPS indicated that heavy downpours lashed various parts of the city and its outskirts. Central and northern areas, including Begumpet, Paradise, Patny, Bowenpally, Rasulpura, Tarnaka, Habsiguda, Khairatabad, and Himayatnagar, also witnessed intense spells that quickly overwhelmed drainage systems and inundated roads. Moderate to heavy rain was also reported in Tellapur, BHEL, Chandanagar, KPHB, and nearby areas. Heavy congestion was reported across the Begumpet, Paradise, and Secunderabad corridors, with vehicles crawling through knee-deep water.
