The Brewers and Orioles snuck in a trade just before the 5:00 pm Central deadline sending reliever Codi Heuer to Baltimore for cash considerations, reports Curt Hogg of The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. Heuer still has one minor league option remaining, allowing the Orioles to send him down without issue. While leaning on a 97 mph fastball, Heuer logged a pristine 1.52 ERA with 25 strikeouts and nine walks over 23 2/3 innings in 2020. Heuer finally returned to the bigs last season, though he combined for just 4 2/3 innings between the Rangers and Tigers. After signing a minors deal with the Guardians last winter, Heuer made it back to the majors this year and threw 9 2/3 innings of 4.66 ERA ball.
