Last year, Craven pubs won three of the four awards in the contest which is open to all hostelries across Sir Julian's Skipton and Ripon constituency. The Woolly Sheep in Skipton was named Best High Street Pub; The Plough in Wigglesworth picked up the Best Rural Pub; and Sara at The Albion Inn, Skipton, which is now closed, got the award for Best Staff Member. The Black Swan in Ripon got the overall Best Pub award. People can vote for best pub, best High Street pub, best rural pub and staff member of the year. Voting will remain open throughout the summer, and winners will be announced following the close of nominations on September 1.
