The annual awards celebrate projects that have enhanced the appearance, character and heritage of Ilkley and the surrounding area through high-quality design, conservation work and environmental improvements. The society presents both awards and commendations, recognising exemplary schemes as well as projects that have made a positive contribution to the town. Previous award-winning schemes have ranged from heritage restorations and shopfront improvements to contemporary housing developments and public realm projects. Anyone interested in the Civic Society judging the exterior of any property is asked to contact the society.
