West Chiltington Common, in West Sussex, ranks 10th for female healthy life expectancy, with women expected to enjoy 77.8 years of good health from birth, according to new data from the Office for National Statistics (ONS). A clear geographical pattern has emerged from the data, with all of the areas recording the highest healthy life expectancy located in southern England. Of the top 10 areas for male healthy life expectancy, six were located in London, with five also located in the capital for females. West Chiltington Common shared its 10th-place ranking for females with South Kensington in London. In sharp contrast, the lowest healthy life expectancies are concentrated outside the south.
