Gothic 1 Remake is, as its name suggests, a remake of the original Gothic, developed and published by Alkimia Interactive and THQ Nordic, which now owns the rights to the series from Piranha Bytes. This was my real introduction to the world of Gothic, as I quickly learned how brutal it can be. You will need to save a lot in this game, and hope you don’t have to reload the save file. A way to make the early game easier is to enlist the help of some NPCs; not all will give you experience points. Next is money; it’s extremely hard to come by, especially in the early game.
