On August 3, WKU Provost Bud Fischer shared the organizational changes for WKU’s Office of Global Learning and International Affairs instituted on July 1. In an email sent to WKU Faculty and Staff, Fischer provided information on the GLIA Review Committee that informed the restructuring, as well as the process and recommendations given. According to Fischer, the GLIA Review Committee was tasked with conducting a comprehensive review and providing actionable recommendations on the office’s:Organizational structure and functions. Moving forward with WKU Global’s International Recruitment Services, Fischer said WKU will be issuing a request for proposal for international recruitment partners to “design and execute a comprehensive engagement program aimed at attracting and enrolling international students.” He also expressed his gratitude towards both the GLIA committee and GLIA team members for their work and dedication.
