The fifth and final wage increase for aged care nurses since the Fair Work Commission’s work value case came into effect on Saturday. Since 2022, a registered nurse on level two pay point three – the most common level amongst registered nurses – has seen a $36,000 increase to their annual pay. A level five registered nurse will now receive $71.35 per hour for a weekly pay of around $2,711 – not including penalty rates.
