All I know is that I honestly can’t take any more challenges — we’ve had two in a row.
At the time it happened, the only thing that helped us through emotionally and practically was my own job.
I can’t sleep anymore because I’m so terrified.
But when “lightning strikes twice” and we find ourselves with a second serious crisis heaped upon the first, our resolve often collapses.
The feeling that floods us is, “No… I can’t… it’s too much, I can’t do it.”
