Fulham have announced the signing of striker Gonzalo Garcia from Real Madrid. The 22-year-old has signed a five-year deal at Craven Cottage, with the club option for an additional 12 months, following a £34m (€39.7m) move from Los Blancos. Garcia is Alvaro Arbeloa's first signing as Fulham boss, and the Cottagers' second overall this summer following the permanent addition of Jonah Kusi Asare. Garcia was not the only Madrid player to complete a move to Fulham on Monday, as the club also announced the transfer of Cesar Palacios. Twenty-one-year-old Palacios also signed a five-year contract, with the club option for a further 12 months, following a reported £8.5m (€9.9m) deal.
