Florida Medical Marijuana Sales Reach Record $198.2 Million in July, Near $1.2 Billion in 2026

Florida’s licensed medical marijuana dispensaries generated $198,209,750 in sales in July, setting a new monthly record, according to data from the research firm Headset.
The new record brings Florida’s medical marijuana sales to approximately $1.19 billion through the first seven months of 2026.
Trulieve opened the state’s first medical marijuana dispensary in Tallahassee on July 26, 2016.
Later that year, voters approved Amendment 2, expanding the program to allow full-strength medical marijuana for patients with debilitating health conditions.
Medical marijuana and marijuana delivery devices are exempt from Florida sales and use taxes, resulting in a 0% state retail sales tax rate for qualified patients.
