He expressed these views while addressing an All Parties Conference (APC) held at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat in connection with Youm-e-Istehsal (Exploitation Day) Kashmir. The conference was organized to observe the day at both official and public levels and to formulate a unanimous strategy for highlighting the Kashmir issue before the international community. The conference was attended by former Chief Minister and Leader of the Opposition Hafiz Hafeez-ur-Rehman, along with leaders of major political and religious parties from across Gilgit-Baltistan. The Chief Minister strongly condemned what he described as India’s oppression, illegal occupation, exploitation and serious human rights violations in IIOJK. He said the Kashmiri freedom movement could not be suppressed despite these actions and paid tribute to the resilience of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference and the Kashmiri people.
