CPO Rawalpindi review Chehlum security arrangements in a meeting

RAWALPINDI, Aug 03 (APP):City Police Officer (CPO) Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera on Monday held a meeting at the Police Lines Headquarters to review security arrangements for the Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) directing officers and personnels to ensure comprehensive security measures for all processions.
The meeting was attended by SSP Operations, SSP Investigation, Chief Traffic Officer, SP Security, divisional SPs, SDPOs, SHOs and other senior police officers.
During the meeting, the CPO reviewed the overall security plan and issued detailed instructions to strengthen arrangements for the religious event.
The CPO said snipers would be deployed on rooftops along the procession routes while adjoining streets, alleys and access points would be sealed to prevent any security breaches.
According to the security plan, more than 3,600 officers and personnel of the Rawalpindi Police will be deployed to perform security duties during the Chehlum.
