Addam, Alyn and Baela are not a love triangle in ‘House of the Dragon.’ The official answer is Ser Laenor Velaryon, Corlys’s son, which strains belief for a man whose interest in women was, by every account in the record, nonexistent. Addam Velaryon is fond of Baela, Baela is courting his brother, and the tension running through those scenes is family tension wearing the costume of a rivalry. Resolve it early and Addam Velaryon stops being interesting. Addam Velaryon rides Seasmoke, Baela rides Moondancer, and by the end of 3×07 they are flying on the same side against a girl who shares Baela’s face.
