The Royal Agricultural Society (RAS) of NSW has announced William Wilson as the recipient of its RAS Contributor Award, recognising his dedication and service to the Sydney Royal Wine Show. Established in 1988, the RAS Contributor Award recognises an individual’s outstanding contribution to the organisation and the wider agricultural industry. Wilson has been a part of the Sydney Royal Wine Show and Sydney Royal Beer & Cider Show since 2012. The award was presented to Wilson by RAS President John Bennett who praised his ongoing commitment to the industry. Wilson’s award coincides with the 200-year celebration of the Sydney Royal Wine Show, which first awarded a medal for ‘Colonial’ wine in 1826.
