Liquor & Gaming NSW (L&GNSW) has launched a series of multilingual educational animations designed to help venue operators better understand their obligations under NSW liquor laws.
The five videos have been developed to simplify the licensing process, improve understanding of regulatory requirements and direct venue operators to additional online resources.
Available in English, Arabic, Cantonese, Mandarin, Greek and Vietnamese, the animations explain topics including who can serve alcohol, why a liquor licence is required, how to apply for or transfer a licence and the circumstances where liquor licence exemptions apply.
The series also includes a video explaining the community consultation process for liquor licence applications, including notification requirements and how members of the public can provide feedback.
L&GNSW said the new videos form part of its Hospitality and Racing Strategy 2026–28, which aims to improve industry understanding of liquor laws while supporting harm minimisation through targeted education and communication initiatives.
