Governor Kathy Hochul released Friday the 2025 annual report for New York Small Business Development Centers (New York SBDC), breaking down the impact of the 20 centers across the state offering free and paid help, training and resources to small businesses.
“Small businesses are one of New York’s most important engines of job creation and economic opportunity,” Hochul said in a message leading the report.
The SBDC is funded through the Small Business Administration and administered through the State University of New York (SUNY).
The report also revealed that the SBDCs in NYC will be expanding this coming year with a new location.
“As CUNY’s founding institution, CCNY brings a powerful legacy of access and public purpose to this work, expanding support for entrepreneurs and small businesses across Upper Manhattan,” he said.
