Crime indicators continue to improveMajor General Al Shamsi reviewed the security and criminal landscape during the first half of the year, comparing the results with the same period last year.
The results were further supported by awareness campaigns designed to educate the public about emerging criminal methods and prevention measures.
As part of ongoing efforts to curb the misuse of social media for criminal activity, Dubai Police shut down 103 fraudulent social media accounts during the second quarter of the year, helping protect the public from increasingly sophisticated online scams.
A proactive security strategyMajor General Al Shamsi said the positive results and decline in crime indicators reflect the efficiency of Dubai Police’s security system and the dedication of specialised teams.
