The Nuremberg-Regensburg railway line has officially reopened to rail traffic following the completion of a slew of modernisation works.
As a project partner, Hitachi Rail has celebrated its own contributions to the technological renewal of the heavily-utilised section of the European Rhine-Danube transport corridor.

Our signalling and control technology plays a central role and also provides the foundation for future upgrades such as ETCS.
Hitachi Rail is also involved with the modernisation of the adjacent Obertraubling-Passau corridor, with work having begun in June 2026.
