Per Matt Derrick, the Chiefs have signed rookie free agent wide receiver Jeff Weimer to a contract. The well-traveled West Virginia product is the newest addition to the Chiefs' roster. 248 -anked wide receiver in this year's draft class. The Chiefs already have a number of undrafted free agents competing at wide receiver this summer, but the position is beset by short-term injuries right now, which has opened an unexpected door for Weimer. Players like Jeff Caldwell, Xavier Loyd, Omari Evans, and Jacob De Jesus are already more established UDFAs in camp.
