Millions of dollars are available for several different types of rural healthcare facilitiesThe Pennsylvania Department of Health has announced that $27 million in funding for rural healthcare facilities including hospitals, long-term care nursing facilities, behavioral health providers and health centers. The first program is the Rural Health Transformation Plan (RHTP) award which provides funding to implement electronic health records and joins Pennsylvania’s Patient and Provider Network. The second is the Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) which is additional funding for hospitals, long-term nursing care facilities, behavioral health providers, and more.
