Hearts are appealing the red card handed out to defender Stuart Findlay during Saturday’s 1-1 defeat at Aberdeen in the William Hill Premiership. Kevin Nisbet, the former Hibs striker, scored the game-winner from the spot but Hearts feel that Findlay made a “genuine attempt” to play the ball. A statement added: “We do not feel that a red card was merited and, as such, we will be making that case to the Scottish FA. “We note with interest a near identical incident during Motherwell’s win over Hibs (on Sunday), which resulted in a yellow card for Oscar Preistman, not a red card.
