I'm seeing water trucks arriving at pastures near here. 50+ years ago, living here, I went with a group of Forestales into the sierra to fight forest fires on foot for 11 days. Hard as hell and we didn't really accomplish much but I'll never forget it. If you ever hear Cuco Valoy's "No Me Empuje" it's a song about my buddy Harrison "Duque" Duke (RIP) an African American who refused to be conscripted when told by the Guardia to load up and head to the fires near Loma de Cabrera. Those fires burned for months in the interior.
