A botched morning robbery at Arvelo Multiservices, an exchange and financial services office located in the La Unión residential area of Sosúa, Puerto Plata, ended in the suspect’s arrest after the venue’s automated security system locked him inside the premises on Wednesday, 29 July 2026 in the morning.According to witness accounts, the suspect, identified by police as repeat offender Christofher David Santana (alias “Mío Niño”), arrived at the scene on a motorcycle and entered the establishment armed with a handgun.
Upon entering, Santana fired a shot, striking a taxi driver identified only as Bolívar in the leg.
