That’s completely different as it includes a new power plant exclusively to supply PR and all the money for that will be paid by the Puerto Ricans as they buy the electricity. Every single tourists that stay in Dominican resorts experience much better conditions than many of the Dominicans in the poorer neighborhoods and in the countryside. They don‘t suffer from power outages or water outages, they always get to use a toilet, abundance of prepared food, even the amount of mosquitos is controlled with nightly fumigation in many of those places, etc. Of course, much of the tourist industry is paid by the foreign tourists themselves with money they earned in other countries, not mostly Dominicans in most of the resorts. Who has problems understanding how resorts built in the DR that don’t depend mostly on Dominicans to stay afloat are able to do it?
