It was actually quite hard to find parking near the area it took place. During the afternoon of the same day there was a Jamaican flag raising in downtown as part of their independence celebration. Plus, on that day too there was another event going on at the Hartford Amphitheater and that too was packed. I don’t find anywhere in Connecticut to be truly dangerous, even in the “dangerous cities” that might keep some people away. Many of those “large” cities do have many ugly areas, but an ugly area doesn’t equate to a truly dangerous one to fear for safety.
