David Lloyd Southend, in Snakes Lane, has submitted an application to vary its premises licence to reflect planned improvements at the club. As part of its latest upgrade programme, the club intends to relocate its indoor spa to a new outdoor spa garden while also creating a dedicated social area beside its padel courts. The application states the new areas would operate in the same manner as the club's existing outdoor spaces, which are already covered by the current premises licence. If approved, the licence would be expanded to include the new spa, spa garden and padel social areas. A spokesperson for David Lloyd Clubs said: "We have applied to extend our existing licence to cover a new outdoor spa garden and padel social area as part of our ongoing investment in David Lloyd Southend.
