Jammu, Aug 3: Apni Party president Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari on Monday called on the Centre to initiate a meaningful dialogue with the people of Jammu and Kashmir to address their concerns and aspirations, while asking party leaders to intensify public outreach across the region. Bukhari made the remarks while chairing a high-level provincial meeting of the party in Jammu, attended by senior leaders and functionaries from across the region. According to a party statement, the meeting reviewed the prevailing political situation, governance issues, public grievances and organisational matters. Addressing the meeting, Bukhari urged party leaders and workers to remain in close contact with the people and actively engage with them to understand their concerns. Reiterating the party's long-standing demand, he appealed to the Government of India to begin a dialogue with the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
