Srinagar, Aug 3: Jammu and Kashmir Social Welfare Minister Sakina Masood Itoo on Monday said that eligible girls can avail marriage assistance even after their marriage if there is a delay in sanctioning the benefit due to non-availability of funds, assuring that deserving beneficiaries will not be deprived of the scheme. She said that while assistance is sanctioned as soon as the required documents are verified, delays may sometimes occur because of the non-availability of funds. However, she assured that eligible beneficiaries would receive the financial assistance even if it is sanctioned after the marriage. “Our aim is to ensure that these schemes reach every home so that deserving people can benefit from them. We are committed to extending the benefits of these welfare programmes to every eligible person who needs them,” she said.
