SUNDAY TIMES AND Sun columnist Rod Liddle has died aged 66 after a short illness. Liddle died at The James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough on Sunday evening. Liddle wrote regularly for the Sunday Times, the Sun, and the Spectator. He left the programme in 2002 after the BBC said his column writing amounted to a breach of his impartiality. Last year, Times Radio appointed him as the host of its Saturday morning show every weekend from 10am to 1pm.
