The Baltimore Police Department on Monday announced an arrest in connection with the death of a man recovered from the Inner Harbor on Sunday. Detectives arrested 36-year-old James Fitzsimmons of Parkville in connection with the death of 37-year-old James Britt of Baltimore. Homicide detectives learned that the two men were involved in a physical altercation when Fitzsimmons pushed Britt into the water as Britt retreated from Fitzsimmons. Fitzsimmons was taken into custody and transported to the Baltimore Central Booking and Intake Center, where he was charged with second-degree murder.
