The Baltimore Orioles are trading Adley Rutschman, who was the face of the club’s rebuild, to a division rival, ESPN’s Jeff Passan reported citing sources. The Boston Red Sox are acquiring the three-time All-Star catcher in a trade with Baltimore, Passan wrote on social media. The Orioles called up Rutschman from Norfolk in 2022. The news comes the same day as the trade of outfielder Taylor Ward to the Seattle Mariners.
