Tony Livesey has left his role at BBC Radio 5 Live after more than a decade on air. BBC Radio 5 Live controller Heidi Dawson announced the news in a message to staff revealing that Livesey had decided not to return following his recent break from broadcasting. "Tony has worked at 5 Live for 16 years and was the first voice for us on air as we launched from our new home in Salford. I know many of you have also really enjoyed working with Tony, and we wish him well for all his future endeavours." During his time at the BBC, Livesey became one of Radio 5 Live's most recognisable voices.
