Nick Bosa suffered a torn right ACL during Week 3 of the 2025 season, and the San Francisco 49ers defensive end is hopeful that he can be more effective on the football field than he was before the injury. Per Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated, the surgeon was able to repair some tendinitis that Bosa suffered when he tore his ACL in high school. “I had a little tendinitis from my high school ACL, and he cleaned that up while he [fixed] my ACL,” Bosa said. Bosa believes he'll be able to move better with less mass on his legs this season, which could give him more power via speed. “This is a speed game, I'm a power rusher, but speed creates power, and the way you can move is everything," Bosa said.
