The hands and feet of Jesus are on display in Wisconsin as hundreds of Samaritan’s Purse volunteers help families recover after a powerful EF-3 tornado tore through the Appleton area, leaving damaged homes, uprooted trees and devastated neighborhoods. Among those receiving help is Navy veteran Don Wilson of Menasha, whose home suffered extensive damage when several trees crashed onto it during the storm. After Samaritan’s Purse volunteers helped clear the destruction, Wilson described their service as “living proof that God exists.” But Samaritan’s Purse says its mission extends beyond physical recovery. As homes are cleared and lives begin to be rebuilt, Samaritan’s Purse volunteers are demonstrating the hope, kindness and sacrificial love that Christ calls us to show to those in need.
