The start of August saw the Weekend Shared Street initiative kick off in Makati. As with other car-free initiatives, the Weekend Shared Street aims to temporarily make streets safer and more enjoyable for pedestrian activities such as walking, jogging, and cycling. The Weekend Shared Street also runs parallel with other car-free initiatives in the area, including the Salcedo Market and Ayala Avenue Car-Free Sunday.
