PICKENS - A Barbour County woman is facing an attempted murder charge after allegedly shooting another woman in the face during an altercation at Turkey Bone Road in Randolph County over the weekend. She is being held in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail on a $100,000 cash-only bond, set by Randolph County Magistrate Tracy M. Harper. Bonetti, West Virginia State Police troopers, Randolph County Sheriff’s deputies and Elkins Police Department officers were dispatched to investigate a "shots fired" call on Turkey Bone Road in Pickens at about 6:45 p.m. Friday. The witness told police Simmons asked, "What are you going to do, shoot me?" Another witness told police that he witnessed Collette "shoot Amanda Simmons from a standing position after retrieving the firearm from her vehicle," the complaint states.
