Chicago Bears running back Kyle Monangai missed the first few days of training camp with an undisclosed injury issue, sparking some concern for the team's back-up ball carrier.
But after Monangai returned to the practice field on Monday, Bears head coach Ben Johnson provided an injury update for the 24-year-old RB.
Johnson said Monangai is dealing with a minor soft-tissue injury ahead of his second professional campaign.
Monangai is entering his second season as the back-up running back behind veteran ball carrier D'Andre Swift.
Fourth-year RB Roschon Johnson and reserve option Brittain Brown follow Swift and Monangai on the Bears' running back depth chart.
