The historic rivalry between the USC Trojans and Notre Dame Fighting Irish will resume with a four-game series beginning in 2030, both programs announced on Monday.
Each of these four games will take place in the opening weeks of the season, before the start of conference play for USC.
The following year, Notre Dame will host USC for a Week 1 clash in South Bend.
“We felt like the best thing for our program was to play this game early in the season," Trojans head coach Lincoln Riley said in response to the news, via Kendell Hollowell of SI.
As long as we can get the game in early, play it in a traditional window, we want to play it as long as we can.”
