Clackmannanshire and Dunblane MSP Keith Brown has welcomed new Scottish Government backing for Children First, a charity offering year round practical and emotional assistance to parents and children across Scotland.
The investment will allow Children First to more than double the reach of its support line, extending help to up to 7,500 families.
Mr Brown said: "Children First to great work and this funding from the Scottish Government will enable thousands more people to access the ‘national front door’ to family support that they provide.
He also praised the charity’s accessible model of support, which simplifies the process of seeking help during tough times.
The Children First support line is open every day of the year and can be reached on 08000 28 22 33 or via webchat at childrenfirst.org.uk/supportline.
