Ulster fracture clinic nurse Margaret McCracken is this week celebrating 52 years in the nursing profession but with retirement not yet on her agenda. South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust, which currently employs Ms McCracken, described her career achievement as an “extraordinary milestone”. Encouraging others to consider a career in nursing, Ms McCracken said: “It is great that nurses now qualify with a degree. Set to mark another milestone in November when she turns 70, Ms McCracken indicated that retirement was not yet on her agenda. “I love working here in the fracture clinic and I look forward to caring for our patients every day.”
