A house in Tappen was destroyed in a fire Sunday night, but fire crews were able to stop the flames from spreading to neighbouring properties. The Shuswap Emergency Program said the structure fire started at a home on Vella Road in Tappen. Firefighters from four halls, including the Tappen Sunnybrae, Shuswap, White Lake and Eagle Bay fire departments, responded to the blaze before 11 p.m. The SEP said the home was “completely destroyed,” and the homeowner was receiving support through emergency support services.
