Sandra Tate Nelson passed away unexpectedly on July 31, 2026, leaving behind a family and special friends who loved her deeply. Sandra was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 49 years, Bobby Nelson; her son, Chip Nelson; her daughter, Angela M. Nelson; her sister, Barbara Jones; her brother, Gary Tate; and her parents, Gene and Pauline Tate. She is survived by her devoted son, Bill Nelson, and daughter-in-law, Sarah Nelson of Kingston; her granddaughter, Angela N. Nelson, of Harriman; her grandson, Noah Nelson, of Kingston, her cherished great-granddaughter, Victoria Turnington, and precious great-grandson, Gideon Howard, both of Harriman; her brother, Jerry Tate, of Harriman, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and special friends who will forever treasure her memory. Family and friends will meet on Wednesday, August 5th, 2026, at 2:00 pm ET in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Rockwood for a graveside and committal service.
