Dr. Charles Robert Wierer, age 87, of Crossville, TN, passed over to a better place on July 30, 2026, at The Preserve in Fairfield Glade. Dr. Wierer (Chuck) was born on October 31, 1938, in Baltimore, Maryland, son of Robert and Lela (Covert) Wierer. Dr. Wierer and his wife Dorothy, who managed the office and counseled patients on nutrition, made a great team. Chuck Wierer loved Halloween because he was born on Halloween in 1938 during Orson Welles’ radio broadcast of “War of the Worlds.” In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy (Marker) Wierer and sister Donna Thelaner.
