Grammy, Emmy, and Tony Award–winning actor and singer Hugh Jackman is set to perform at the 34th Annual Pops on the Heights gala on Sept. 25. He won a Tony award in 2004 for his role in the musical The Boy from Oz. The annual fundraiser, also known as The Barbara and Jim Cleary Scholarship Gala, raises money for financial aid for Boston College undergraduate students. Jackman will be joined at Pops on the Heights by Patrick Vaccariello, a longtime collaborator and music director of the annual Tony Awards. In addition to Jackman, The “Screaming Eagles” marching band, University Chorale, and Joseph Gilhooly, MCAS ’27, will accompany the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra, conducted by Keith Lockhart.
