National Highways will carry out the work on two separate nights in August, with slip road and lane closures affecting the westbound carriageway. The first closure will take place from 10pm on Monday, August 10, until 7am on Tuesday, August 11, with drainage works being carried out on the M27 westbound at Junction 5. A further closure is planned from 10pm on Friday, August 21, until 7am on Saturday, August 22, when maintenance work will again require slip road and lane restrictions. These works have been kept to overnight in order to impact as few drivers as possible. Drivers are advised to plan ahead, allow extra time for their journeys and follow any signs or diversion routes in place while the works are carried out.
